Grow where you are planted

Have you ever thought, I would love to pack up and move to a new city, state, or country? Everyone loves the thought of a fresh start. What stops you? Is it your family, job, customs, or the hassle of starting over? Katie and I have moved a lot over the past 10 years. We have lived in 3 states and in 7 different houses since we said "I DO" back in 2010. Every church we have served and every city we plant in, we try to make that our home. We attempt to execute our family mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We want to live out the Gospel everywhere we go. We want to grow and develop as believers no matter our geological location. No matter where you are in this world, you can be faithful to God.

We love traveling. We have spent a lot of time in the Rocky Mountains. It has always amazed me that the vegetation can grow on the side of a mountain made of rock. It seems like the smallest gust of wind would blow all the plants and trees over, yet they are still standing. There is something to be said about something thriving right where it is planted.

How about you? Are you thriving where God has you planted? I meet so many people who talk about how one day they are going to have everything just right to be a giant for God. One day they will have the time, resources, or wisdom to serve God faithfully. If you are waiting for someday, it will never come. Be faithful now. You may not be in the best position in life, but God can use you right where you are. Grow where you are planted, and see what God can do. There is an old song from a group called Downhere. The promise of the song is that, "little is much when God is in it".

Do you believe that? Are you living that?

Grow where you are planted.
